Today I want to talk about a video game taking the industry by storm. The game is called Apex Legends and it is the newest offering by Electronic Arts (Ticker: EA). So what is the big deal you may ask? Because it is the only game I can see competing with Fortnite on a daily basis. Fortnite has been known as the video game maker killer. $TTWO, $ATVI, $EA all missed on their earnings reports in a huge way over the last few quarters, while Fortnite made $3 billion in gross profit for 2018. It’s a free game. FREE. As in, you can get the game for Free $0.99. Generating more in microtransactions than anyone could have imagined. Seeing how Apex Legends secured 10 Million players quicker than Fortnite did and the current view count on Twitch (that is everything for video games) is 3 to 5 times as much as the views currently for Fortnite content. It screams bullish to me. So I am playing both $EA and $HEAR to the upside for swing trading opportunities. I would keep your eye on both names in the near term.
