What the Heck Is A Broken Wing Butterfly?

A broken wing butterfly (BWF) is a common option strategy we utilize in both of our options rooms here at Prosper Trading Academy.  It is a directional (usually debit) signal that can be more cost-effective than a straight vertical while at the same time not introducing the risk of blowing through all of your strikes and losing your premium.  Click the video below to see how we break this approach down.
