In today’s desk-side chat, I’m going to take a moment and remind investors of the human element that may influence trading and portfolio management. Risk discipline is one of the most challenging areas to manage as it applies to the human emotion. That may apply to many facets, as an example, over trading, lacking exit discipline or even the urge to chase markets. From a trading perspective, this may mean buying well into an extended stock pattern or it may mean piling on risk in a strong sector from the portfolio. Join me as I share these thoughts and what’s happening beneath the surface. Including the woes in financial, the technology sector ratio within the S&P500 and the abundance of new 52-week lows.
