ROKU Finds A Friend in Apple

All eyes were on the AAPL presentation yesterday and that caused ROKU to rally strongly and then sell off quickly, but in the end, ROKU ended up trading in the upper portion of their range today. For me, I saw the AAPL news as a positive for ROKU. For one, they will be able to integrate Apple’s new app on their platform. That was key. They weren’t going to lose current clients to AAPL. From there, the AAPL news was not a deterrent to ROKU investors, but instead gave them a safer feel towards the longer term outlook. I think ROKU still has a chance to rally in conjunction with the rest of the markets. The biggest near term hurdle has been covered so far. ROKU will not get crushed by AAPL and that is always a great thing. Be one with your company, crushing competition and not the opposition.
